In traditional Kazakh culture, torsyq is a specially crafted leather bag used for fermenting and storing qymyz, a fermented dairy drink made from mare’s milk. Over time, the porous leather contributes to the flavor and texture of the drink.

A kese is a wide, shallow bowl traditionally used for serving tea.

This piece captures the warm, golden atmosphere of fall in Almaty. It aims to evoke a sense of nostalgia and connection to the citie’s unique blend of culture, architecture and nature. Agar Art is an artwork created by cultivating microorganisms in certain patterns.
I created this art in the Microbiology course during my undergraduate studies.

I illustrated a scientist woman to celebrate the invaluable contributions of women in the STEM field and to inspire future generations of women to pursue their passions in STEM.
